Why did my streak reset?
A run counts consecutive scheduled days. If a rule was due on a day and you marked it broken, the run goes to zero and starts again from the next kept day. There are no freezes, repairs, or grace days — that is the point of the app rather than an oversight.
Days a rule wasn't scheduled for don't break the run. If a rule only runs on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, the days between are ignored entirely.
Today shows as incomplete. Have I already lost the streak?
No. Today isn't counted as missed until you review it. Kantetsu is retrospective: you look back at a day once it's over. A day you haven't logged is simply unreviewed.
Why can't I change a rule's schedule for past days?
Once a rule has been logged, its schedule is locked for the days already behind you, and any change applies from now on. If schedules could be rewritten backwards, every past streak would become editable — and the number would stop meaning anything. Rule titles have no effect on the maths and stay editable, so typos are always fixable.
Can I get my history onto another device?
Not yet. Sync is being built and isn't in the app. Until it ships, your history lives on one device and travels in your device backups.
I archived a rule. Is its history gone?
No. Archived rules keep everything. You can reveal them at any time to look back at what they recorded.
Will there be notifications?
No. Kantetsu doesn't nag, and adding reminders would make it a different app. Reviewing yesterday is a habit you keep, or don't — which is the thing being measured.
Deleting your account or data
Deleting the app removes everything stored on your device. Account deletion is available in the app and removes your account and everything uploaded with it from the server, permanently. See the privacy policy for the full detail.
